I have a question that might be answered somewhere in the documentation but unfortunately I cannot read through all of it because I have a time constraint (so plz don't answer RTFM) - I bought a Cinergy 1200 DVB-C card and the store agreed to let me try for this week if I can get it to work in Linux and return it if I can't, my question is: The card is a budget card so it requires a hefty CPU but I got an idea how an old p3 could act with it anyway, i.e. what I'd like to do is to let the card just capture the mpeg2 stream to the hd in the old box (since I'd rather leave that on 24/7 since it's also my firewall) and then when I want to watch TV I'd just stream the captured or a live stream over my home lan to my athlon 3700+ box, which would decode it. Is this at all possible? That is, to let the old box just capture the stream without processing it at all and then box decode it when I want to watch. <-- kormoc has quit ("Done with work, yay!") --> kormoc (~kormoc@dsl254-022-032.sea1.dsl.speakeasy.net) has joined #mythtv-users gah you don't want to RTFM, but you want us to read all that? hehehe lol I stopped reading after the first sentence anyone have a summary? no, I've tried but if someone knows straight away whether it can or cannot be done I'd know whether I should keep the card or return it tomorrow?
