Brian Steidle’s collection of testimonies and photographs, combined with powerful narration has resulted in this thought-provoking documentary on what many have labeled the Darfur genocide. However, United Nations (UN) does not recognize the situation as genocide, but as mass murder committed by the Janjaweed. The UN has passed several resolutions to punish those responsible for the atrocities in Darfur; although a declaration of genocide from the UN is what countries need to freely intervene and stop the conflict. Even without this, countries still send their support in the form of food, water, medicine and peacekeepers. Most of the atrocities publicized are committed by the Janjaweed, a militia consisting of Arabic-speaking African tribes. They are trained to destroy villages test haha :D
