Hi i'm Lorenzo Villani and I use ubuntu since version 5.04. After trying Ubuntu I immediately loved it. Awesome community, awesome technical choices and clear development-model. I'm now helping by doing some packaging stuff, translation work and I help new users to get into the Ubuntu (and Linux) world. I'm also spreading the work about Ubuntu (and Linux in general) here in Florence. * Spec est parti ("gotta go!") Packages i've made: colorscheme, agave, kdocker - working: libgimp-cil, debian-servicemenu, attach-to-email-servicemenu Translation work is listed at: https://launchpad.net/people/arbiter/+translations My future plans are to become firstly an Ubuntu Member (that's why I'm here ;-) ), then a MOTU and (why not?) a Core-Dev :) ...and improve kubuntu and make the PackageCandidates list shorter and become part of the Italian LoCo Team (currently waiting for approvation) :) * lucas est parti (Remote closed the connection) Arbiter: how long have you been working on packages? mako, what is the outcome for AndreNoel? GnuKemist, elmo isn't back yet so still 'pending' Seveas gotcha two months as far as i remember GnuKemist: waiting for elmo? sorry Arbiter: that's the bare minimum of what i'd like to see for demonstration of a sustained contribution Arbiter: for membership of course ack from me for AndreNoel AndreNoel congrats!!! mako: my translation work is more than my packaging work tks elmo Arbiter has done a good job on packages, and I really appreciate the fact that he wants to reduce the PackageCandidates page :) right AndreNoel Congrats! :D tks friends Congrats i've started making packages a short time ago... AndreNoel: congrats my friend! * GnuKemist back to work AndreNoel, very well! congrats! Arbiter: what plans do you have to improve kubuntu? * raphink (n=raphink@ubuntu/member/raphink) a rejoint #ubuntu-meeting * GnuKemist (n=omaciel@ubuntu/member/gnukemist) a quitté #ubuntu-meeting * CypherBIOS est parti ("Ex-Chat") * sfair (n=sfair@dma03.feg.unesp.br) a quitté #ubuntu-meeting ("Aumentando a minha entropia...") CypherBIOS, good work on AptOnCd! im just leraning python with it :) Riddell: at first: there are a lots of packages in Kubuntu Candidates (for universe) i want to make them and get them into universe as soon as possible * Gun_Smoke (n=daryl@c-68-85-72-195.hsd1.fl.comcast.net) a rejoint #ubuntu-meeting i'm not sure my personal threshold has been reached by the information linked to from the wiki alone are there testimonials here for Arbiter Arbiter: cool, give us a ping on #kubuntu-devel if there's stuff to be reviewed my plan is to become a kubuntu-member too Arbiter: membership doesn't need to proceed major contributions Arbiter: and in fact, shouldn't it's the other way around Arbiter: unless there are people we know here who will give testimonials, i think we should pass this week Gloubiboulga? * Kamion accepts kdocker into universe Kamion: :) * bit_doidao is preparing some works and tutorials for candidate for membership. on the right time. :) I guess one of your links just became out of date ;) Kamion: heh :D * carthik est parti ("Leaving") * j_ack est parti ("Verlassend") Arbiter: want to wait until for hte next meeting or so? we've go to wrap up Arbiter, yep, I wrote a few words already :) i set this as a 1h meeting :) mako: Gloubiboulga is my only testimonial which is now into its 68th meetiinute :) Hobbsee has gone to bed... so... I don't really have a strong opinion - I think Arbiter's making pretty good progress * mako nods to Kamion in fairness to others, i'd really like to see a couple testimonials from people who have worked with him, reviewed packages mako, I did Gloubiboulga: are you the only one? * j_ack (n=rudi@p508DA3E2.dip0.t-ipconnect.de) a rejoint #ubuntu-meeting mako, the only one present here I guess others were bddebian and sistpoty iirc plus Hobbsee * AndreNoe1 (n=noel@201.22.95.1.static.gvt.net.br) a rejoint #ubuntu-meeting Gloubiboulga: i'm not ignoring you, i appreciate your comments :) Arbiter: even emailed testimonials would be good mako, his work on packages was really good, and het get 3 packages uploaded quite quickly
