Hello! If you are reading this, apparently, you've asked the question a million times... How do I script? Yes. You log in to Roblox and come to anaminus's scriptbuilder every chance you get and... How do I script? Well... no more being called a noob, because this tutorial will teach you mostly all you need to know about scripting! Note: throughout this whole tutorial, don't type the ""'s unless instructed, or scripts = phail. period........................................................................... ----------------------------- Intro: what isn't scripting | ----------------------------- I learned to script mostly by the wiki and my good friend, ultrameep. My first steps as a scripter were to go to anaminus's scriptbuilder and well, trial and error. For the first part of this lesson, you will be on your own place, using the commands bar. to do this, go to your place on solo mode, bring up the tools bar, go to windows and turn on output. the commands bar should be there automatically. if not, turn that on too. Here's where we script! Now, in the commands bar type in, "kill me" then hit enter Now then, did that work? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of course it didn't work! know why? Simple: "kill me" IS... NOT... SCRIPTING!!! this one time, this total noob came on scriptbuilder. he knew how to use it but, this is what he "scripted"... he said: giant, green, will kill anything, fast. and you know what? phail.... totally... phail... that's why there's this tutorial! now, for the tutorial XD ------------------------------------- section 1: The complete basics part1| ------------------------------------- This section will walk you through all of the basics! Mainly what things mean and why you put them there. now... a traditional script, in this case a kill script, would look like this: game.Workspace.turdulator.Head:Remove() now... lets break it down... game as in the game your in game.Workspace as in the workspace, which without, everything = phail game.Workspace.turdulator Me! game.Workspace.turdulator.Head My head! game.Workspace.turdulator.Head:Remove() the built in function (more on those later) that removes my head! This works because my head is in my model (me), which is in the workspace, which is in the game! now everyone knows that when you remove your head or torso, you die. duh. now... before we do anything else, lets talk about... -------------------------------------- section 2: Functions and what they do| -------------------------------------- More next update!!!
