Dear LACES Staff, Here recently, ImageShack encountered some technical difficulties (namely, being hacked or something of a similar nature) and displayed all images hosted on its servers as a large image that was basically a letter discussing security and virus protection. Due to this technical difficulty, the LACES Private Forum's banner, which is hosted on ImageShack, was projected as the large, letter type image. Not only did this in-convenience users on slower connections, it ruined the overall appeal of the PFs. To help prevent a technical difficulty like this in the future, one that possibly might last days, from affecting our boards for a long time, two stages of backup plans have been put into effect. The stages of back-up are as follows: 1) All Staff are asked to have a file of the banner (attached to this email) stored on their computer. If for some reason you cannot store this file on your computer, please reply to this email simply stating so (reasons are not needed) so we can gather a list of who has the file and who doesn't. Doing this, we will be able to re-upload and re-set the banner should a specific hosting site crash and take the banner with it. 2) The file has been uploaded to the public LACES 4shared account. This way, any and all members can access the file, so that it can eventually be given to the Admins for re-setting on the PFs in the case of technical difficulties I feel that this should be enough to get us by in the case of future technical difficulties with our banner. If you have any suggestions or comments regarding this, please reply to this email, and I will get to it asap. Yours truly, ~Pen
