Hi guys, For some reason, when I try to activate certain Drupal modules on the a APOLLO box it causes my site to crash. This does not happen on my other server '(BOREAS). To assist in troubleshooting the problem, I've set up 2 identical sites, one on each server, both using the same database. Both websites are setup to use the exact same physical MySQL 4.1.19 database (which resides on a 3rd dedicated, db-only server) Both have memory_limit set to 50MB The problem arises when I try to enable the views.module The BOREAS server works fine, but the APOLLO site gives me a blank white screen (no error messages, not in server logs or anything). It happens intermittently from the second I hit 'Submit' on the 'admin/modules' page. The white screen is site-wide — no URI's work. Physically removing the 'views' directory from /modules/, fixes it immediately. This smells like a memory issue, except that both sites have the memory_limit set to 50MB (which should be more than enough, although I've experimented upwards of 128MB with no improvement), and one site works fine. The biggest difference between the two environments is the fact that the BOREAS site uses PHP 4 and the APOLLO site uses PHP 5, which leads me to believe it's one of the many PHP config settings, I just don't know which one. Drupal and the views module are compatible with PHP 5. But something in the PHP 5 config (or elsewhere on the APOLLO server) is causing this fatal error. You can compare both sites and both info.php files side-by-side here: BOREAS (works) http://dynatech2.harkey.org/ http://dynatech2.harkey.org/info.php APOLLO (doesn't work) http://dynatech.harkey.org/ http://dynatech.harkey.org/info.php
