Benti and Godswill are friends since elementary. They’re both 21 and live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Although Benti was very bright, he couldn’t continue his education after college because of concentration deficiency. He’s living with his mother  on his father’s pension  and goes out rarely. Godswill works at local Wal-Mart as a cashier.
Benti spends his days surfing on the net, Godswill waiting for the off bell to buy stash for the night. Benti stocks every tiny detail to share with someone when they visit, Godswill uses his last penny on a dirty brown mushroom that is ‘allegedly’ magic.

On most of the occasions they meet up at Benti’s place, Godswill smokes pot; Benti joins seldom but shares everything that he absorbs through the day.
That night they met up for Godswill’s belated birthday. Because Benti couldn’t join, he decided he would make another one with him, four days later. Benti got him a mushroom night lamp from on-line shopping site Blacklight.com. He joined in for the dope and they got stoned in less than half an hour.

Benti, not used to that sort of drug’s ‘quality’ started to hallucinate. He looked at the objects around them; the mushroom lamp present, triangular prism version of the Rubic’s Cube, his mother’s New York cab souvenir and a Batman drawing on the wall, and he visualized little clips of photos and videos he collected while surfing. While he’s at it, he was trying to find some information to share with Godswill.
On the Batman detail, he remembered once - at his “nihilism, what’s the universe, what are the religions for” phase; he remembered that he had discovered a little city somewhere in the Middle East called Batman. He swept himself to the real world and shared this with Godswill.

Godswill - who believes almost every odd detail Benti shares, as he believes that Benti’s a sort of underrated computer geek - didn’t give credit for this information, mostly because of his unsteady brain. 
Benti went to his room to bring his Samsung Netbook that he ordered from B&H recently. He found it ‘on’ next to his first and ninth volume of “Pocket Encyclopedia of Whatever”. He typed ‘Batman the city’ to Google and it gave that the city is in Turkey. He opened the Google Images and found a map of Turkey and showed Godswill whereabouts the city is - southeastern part of the country.

That amazed Godswill and couldn’t let go off the notebook. He wandered through the map and realized there’a another city in this country called Samsun.  He wanted to make a connection between the sign Samsung written on the top of the screen and the actual city, but he was too stoned and he gave up.
They carried on with the birthday party, sitting and gazing around.
