Well, it took me a few hours over many nights, but here it is, my new dived layout. I got the idea first from reading wikipedia's info on myspace (my days can get pretty boring) and then found a code skeleton by this guy named Derek. I edited the markup by hand in emacs, which is an advanced text editor (emacs!=notepad). My goal is to morph this even further in the weeks and months to come.
I am 22 years old, going on 4. I don't put too much stock into my birthday because I've been told (and I have found thorugh experience) that a person's birthday is the most selfish day of their year (it would be wise to not tell that idea to the mother of a young child unless you want to start an argument.)
I am currently unemployed, but am hoping to get further into web design. I also have aspirations of getting Linux+ Certified. I own 6 computers (an old server, 3 desktops, 2 laptops), 2 PDA's, and various other gadgets. If my living conditions change (hopefully soon enough), allowing me a room with more physical space and more electric power capacity, I will be clustering the desktops with Linux, giving me apporoximately 4.2ghz of cpu speed (across three cores) and more than 3 gigs of ram. Of course i'll be working by then, so I could always just buy a new box at that time, but that wouldn't be as fun.
As i'm writing this I am listening to part of John Coltrane's 6-CD collaboration with Miles Davis. I can also be caught listening to Diana Krall, David Bowie, Louis Smith, Heart, Squarepusher, Yuji Ohno Trio, Jon Rauhouse, Chet Baker, Elvis Costello, and Nat Adderley. I rarely listen to the radio, and when I do it has usually been turned on by someone else.
If you didn't already know, I don't drink, I don't do drugs, and I don't smoke.
This is because of a natural, progessive and fatal physical allergy to such
substances. Message me privately if you need to know more.
Special notice: If you send me a friend request, and your profile maxes out my processor (2.4 ghz) or crashes my browser, I will not add you. Having vertical image marquees or a video that plays automatically is not a plus! End of story! Anyone else is very welcome to send me a request. Of course, one of the biggest insults one could give someone else is not to deny their friend request, but rather to remove their friendship status on myspace. So, the above notice doesn't apply to those already befirended by me.

SomeMaxims...
It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm.
Situations I fear are rarely as bad as the fear itself.
People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge
waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast
compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they
pass by themselves without wondering.
Any fool can try to defend his mistakes--and most fools
do--but it gives one a feeling of nobility to admit one's mistakes. By
fighting, you never get enough, but by yielding, you get more than you
expected.
You cannot think your way into sober living. You live your way into sober thinking.
The world can only be grasped by action, not by contemplation.
from a green card:
You can't blame any one but yourself if you stumble twice over the same stone.
Have the moral stamina to stand firmly for right, truth and justice.
Acquire the habit of being faithful to friendships and responsibilities.
The greatest pleasure in life is to do a good turn in secret and have it discovered by accident.
