Hey guys.

Firstly let me reiterate what I wrote in my first official mail as FComm.  I have NO intention of micromanaging this fleet.  Your ships are yours to do with as you wish, as long as you maintain a healthy role-playing environment. 

On to the next point of business, I have spoken with Larry at length in regards to the problem, and I am in agreement with most of the points raised.  Technically, the Columbus is operating under a set of retired specs.  And before anyone else says it, it's no one's fault.  I'm currently looking at several options that we currently have available to us in reference to the Columbus.  I'll be comparing the specs of the Columbus to that of the Chimera and the Viking classes, to see what the differences are.  And, once I've done that, I'll give my recommendations to you Bob.

I now have something to say to each of you:

Bob - I'm asking you to simply consider the options I'll be proposing.  I'm not going to order you to do anything.  This is your ship, therefore your decision.  I can only give you my recommendations.

John - While I find it admirable to support a decision made by the CO, it was rash of you to post in Command the way you did.  The situation was already volatile enough.  But to post before the FComm had a chance to weigh in on the problem, that was a mistake.  Please give me the opportunity to voice my opinion before you do that in the future.

Larry - Per our discussion, I'll let you know the outcome as soon as I know.
