I started re-working my tracker last year for a public free release but I had to put this project aside. I've been busy with work weeks of over 100 hours/week leaving less than nothing for other projects :( I need to fix the tracker source to work with newer compilers, fix a few bugs, and cleanup the code before I can release. MGB files themselves are not playable on Gameboy, they're a binary form of XML-ish structure containing the textual instrument scripts and patterns. you need to export-enabled version of the tracker to compile the MGB into Z80 rgbasm source code (a bunch of separate data sections so the linker can stuff them in the ROM banks where there's room) I really, really, really want to release it for the demoscene now that gameboy is commercially dead but I have bills to try to pay and with the economy and all that I'm way too overworked. I missed two demoparties in the last two years, I also had to put a game for C64 I'm working on on ice, I already finished the game's engine and level editor, have a playback routine completed for C64 and was working on adding C64 support to the tracker/compiler. I'm sorry its not likely to become a reality in the very near future, when things cool down I'll be able to finish preparing the tracker release. Thanks for the feedback, I'll try to drop you an email once I finally release. - Show quoted text - -- Stephane Hockenhull potam@sympatico.ca
