I have Gentoo ~AMD64 (unstable), i want to install on another partition Gentoo ~x86 or x86
following the Handbook on Gentoo.org for x86 and netinstall i mounted the empty partition on /mnt/gentoo
downloaded Stage3 for x86 (686) and latest portage
expanded them..

setted up my make.conf (see it below) profile 2006.1/desktop and etc...

then mounted proc and dev filesystem on /usr/gentoo/proc and /usr/gentoo/dev

then:
linux32 chroot /mnt/gentoo /bash/bin
env-update
source ....
export PS1=....

emerge gentoo-source

emerge grub

make menuconfig && make && make modules_install && make install

so i have compiled the 32 bit kernel optimized for K8 processor (Athlon64)

then emerge vixie-cron etc...

emerge --sync

emerge --update --deep --newuse system

it stopped with linux_headers installation.. and i've seen it was trying to emerge an x86_64 headers..

many other "emerge" failed with weird error (push pop error or something like that)

and if i try
emerge gnome
or
emerge alsa-tools

or other..

i take the "circular dependance" error.. i've read this is a portage bug and to try later.. but i've waited.. re-synched and still have this same issue....

i've noticed some package installed if i changed the USE variable..
like alsa-utils (not tools), when i removed "doc" use variable it installed like a charm...

could be the problem im trying to installa a 32bit system from a 64bit system? it is that possible? am i doing something wrong?
