i've just lost my connection
i need to diagnose a problem with smtp auth
if i'm at the mail server
telnet localhost 25
ehlo test
250-STARTTLS
250-PIPELINING
250 8BITMIME
(i've omitted mailserver's name :)
but if i'm outside the lan (from internet)
telnet localhost 25
upps
telnet mail.domain.com 26
uppps
telnet mail.domain.com 25
ehlo test
502 unimplemented (#5.5.1)
i've got that.. an unimplemented.

at that thread the problem wasn't the qmail server..
i'm trying to diagnose if it's a misconfiguration or is something external.
any ideas?
to be concise:  if i try ehlo from local server it works but if i try from internet it says unimplemented..
