Pilot fish at a games company is testing a new game and takes a break to heat up a chicken pot pie. But after returning to his desk, the point-of-view “camera” starts to twitch. “Before long, the camera was jerking left and right every three seconds,” fish says. He calls over the project lead, who tries swapping out the controller. No luck. “But his second guess was right on the money,” says fish “He asked, ‘Is it the chicken pot pie sitting on the mouse cable?’ What?!? But as soon as I moved my lunch off the mouse cable, the camera stopped twitching. How many years does it take to garner the wisdom to guess that a chicken pot pie is interfering with computer input?”
