I’m writing to share with the UTD community information about an incident on our campus yesterday that some may have seen or heard about.  At approximately 6 p.m., a student was arrested outside university housing by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Houston Bureau on charges associated with federal felony offenses.  We are informed that none of the alleged criminal activity is believed to have occurred on the UT Dallas campus. There has been no indication from authorities that any of this activity constitutes a threat to our campus.  

If any students have concerns, I encourage them to speak with the dean of students’ office. Assistance will be made available as needed.  If there are developments that merit further communication, we will share that information with you.
