Hey, Jen and Anthony! We're now four months and four days into my term as President, which makes us about half way through. Jack and I wanted to take a few moments to e-mail every Cabinet member and see how things are going. Is there anything that you need from us to help make your department more successful? Do you have any plans for the department for the next four months? Just as a refresher, looking back at our initial e-mails from the beginning of the term, you identified the following areas as things you wanted to work on: - Redesign the CSS of the Yearbook - Upgrade the PDept Admin code - Adding a response field to the new member approvals How are these things going? I do want to take a moment to say that Jack and I both have some concerns regarding the department. Since we discussed it a week or so ago, the new member queue has still been fairly lengthy and "old" each time we've checked into it (please don't feel like we're trying to check up on you; we're more just curious about the inflow of new applications). I know that we don't need to emphasize to you how important it is that new members get a speedy reply. It would be great if we could see some improvement there. Our goal is to have new members joined within 24 to 48 hours. Another item that we've been concerned about is one of your projects for the term, the PDept administration pages. The problems with them have been brought up numerous times in PDept recently, to the point where it seems their design is interfering with your ability to function as a department. I'd like to emphasize that the Internet Department has already offered to aid you in the redesign and encourage you to take them up on that offer. I'd be happy to help as much as possible as well! Please, let us know if there's anything we can do to help! - Sarah
