there are two pieces of plastic touching one another underneath and a little smooshy thing that takes the actual keyboard inputs
take the small plastic toilet seat with the front gap down
the wider piece of plastic should have the thin part up
both have all protrusions (places the keys go in, plastic attacher doodads) pointing down

hook the small plastic piece's bottom on the metal attacher just below the white plastic smooshy thing that takes the actual keyboard inputs

then, holding the plastic under the metal tab, hook the big part first on the left, then on the right (or vice versa). here it helps to have a small pen (preferably with no ink in it) in order to push the piece to the left so the right hook can get in
