Slackware Linux Essentials Volume 2 is located in

doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/slackessentials

As with the first edition, this book project uses the infrastructure
from the FreeBSD Documentation Project.  That means that you need
bsdmake to turn the DocBook SGML sources into HTML or PostScript.  It
also means you must have a complete suite of documentation tools
including Jade, tidy, TeX (for print output), and Norm Walsh's DocBook
DSSSL stylesheets installed.

In FreeBSD, all of these tools are installed with the
textutils/docproj port.  With the proper tools installed, you should
also be able to build the book in Mac OS X / Darwin or Linux.
