How can i select my audio device with rhythmbox? (i have 2 devices, a logitech usb headset, and a terratec 5.1 soundcard) I want to be able to play the music over the terratec soundcard, and everything else over the usb headset... * You are now known as RvGaTe There's a gstreamer option, I believe. So, in GNOME, System > Preferences > Sound. Rhythmbox should use the 'Music and Movies' output. I've not actually checked, but I saw something about it. i have xfce tho... can it be accessed from somewhere else ? for instance the volume controller? It's probably configured in the same place... hmm. gconf, I mean. RvGaTe: Have you got gconf-editor ? diocles, yes, just started it Okay, I'm guessing /system/gstreamer/0.10/default/... thats correct... what am i looking for in there? I'm just looking myself. The musicaudiosink may or may not be it. Ah, that's interesting. It only lets you choose between ALSA/OSS/ESD and so on. Hum. i need to actually put in the value manually guessing you had a dropdown Yeah, my point is, that's not letting you choose individual devices. * thaytan (~jan@core.fluendo.com) has joined #rhythmbox RvGaTe: Although, I think that's the right place. diocles, can it be a application specific option? so it would display in /apps/ instead of /system/ RvGaTe: why don't you try the #gstreamer channel on freenode? HiddenWolf, becouse i thought i could be set in Rhythmbox HiddenWolf, but ill give it a try Probably best. k, thx for the push in the right direction I'd help if I could, but the people who can are most likely found there. we'll see :) lol HiddenWolf :)
