this link working for anyone http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/ph ? <-- From like a week ago. Nobody visit it.. it's some kind of cache poisoning.. when I hit craigslist.org now it redirects to manila.craigslist.org.. anyone have his hostmask in logs? <-- Ducki has quit (Read error: 110 (Connection timed out)) probably it redirects me to manila as well :\ I told you not to hit the url Now presumably your ISP's cache is poisoned um, huh ? what exactly do you think is happening ? hit plain craigslist.org now.. it will redirect you to manila again any CL sub will redirect to manila now no, I then clicked on australia and melbourne ... hitting craigslist.org takes me to melbourne.CL type it I'm betting it's a cookie, not a "ISP Cache poisoning" I did <-- Adriaan has quit (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer)) I then went to another browser, typed "craigslist.org" and it took me to sfbay.CL um.... you do know how that url works, right ? geo.craigslist.org/iso/ redirects you to the corresponding subdomain ... and then, I'm betting, it sets a cookie saying "This is my default location" GwaiLo: yeah.. I think you've got it completely ass backwards. now if I hit any CL subs it redirects me to manila xxxxxx: have you tried clearing your CL cookies ? or even http://craigslist.org/.. redirects to manila ok, try doing http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/au and then see what happens funnily enough, after hitting that, and then melbourne ... I get a cookie that has the name: cl_def_hp and the content: melbourne I hit that url, then craigslist.org and it redirects me to the SF bay area as expected check out your cookie it defines where it sends you. there is absolutely no "ISP Cache poisoning" ... for 2 reasons ... 1.) it's a cookie and 2.) "ISP Cache poisoning" doesn't mean anything. Well that's really stupid imo. What if someone from SF was looking for jobs in manila? It just assumes they live there as far as I can tell, only if you go through the geo locator.
