We’ll figure something out, at some time. Like I said, I’ll be around, so as it stands, I’m still out the 9th officially. I’ll help you out the 2 weeks that Kirk is gone, in an “on call” basis. So as Alex && JJ get stuck with something, I’ll try to point then in the right direction, don’t worry about changing my pay for those 2 weeks. I’ll “contract out cheap” for my same pay for the duration of his vacation. =) I’m thinking in regards to the subcontracting work, that since I’ve got the most familiarity with the Cisco products that you guys support, my initial response is “providing you feed me all the Cisco work, I’d subcontract out for ~50$ per hour”. I don’t think you guys have that much stuff. So I doubt that it would come around that often. Being that VPN installs rarely take more then 1-2 hours max, you’d recoup your money pretty much every job. (heck, maybe I SHOULD ask for more, lol, I need to find out what going rate is...) That way I can still do your Cisco stuff, and you don’t need to farm that out, and I still have a constant influx of Cisco work. That means you are also still getting your money’s out of getting me trained, AND if we did that…. you could use my Cisco ID for your partnerships. (I don’t need it for anything quite yet. LOL) I’d have to talk to JL about it though, like I said, I’m not so good at business, that’s why I talk to her. =) If you were interested I would insist on getting some sort of contract drawn up for this… ( I know you hate contracts, but we’ll work it out together…) I think I might be bored too, if I just had one network, but it would be so nice to see a network that’s clean, and tidy, cables that are run correctly, a server set up for monitoring traffic (or HP printer levels ;) Either way, I know that not having me for the day to day stuff might be rough, but it will be good opportunities for Alex && JJ as well as maybe a “push in the right direction” for you. (Not to be pushy of course.) Perhaps this will lead to some personal development on your end as well. ;) -Garrett PS) keep me posted about the INX deal, I’d be interested to talk/meet with Andrew anyway, just to meet other people in my area of expertise… Perhaps the 3 of us… PSS) Seriously consider what I talked about piecing, I think you could prolly make more than the whole… but then again, like I said, I don’t know anything about business… ;) From: Winchell Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2007 2:40 PM To: Garrett Subject: Thanks for lunch Garrett, If for some reason Andrew(INX) doesn’t work out. The 29.00 per hour is still and offer with 2 weeks of paid training included. What can happen is that we have some executive level meetings, that you would be included, with the idea that we make some decisions around focusing our direction and specialize our expertise and scope. Any how something to think about. You’re not like Mark and Brian in that I don’t see you managing one network. You would be bored. Thank You Winchell
