7 Pastebinit is now available in Feisty’s universe in its latest version (0.6). It’s in fact a patched 0.6 version, here are the changes from the upstream 0.6 version and Ubuntu one : * paste.ubuntu-nl.org removed because of their new JavaScript security stuff (impossible to script) * Man page fixed As it’s the first time the name of Pastebinit will be shown on “Planet Ubuntu Users” here is a simple explanation of what that’s : Pastebinit is a really small piece of Python that acts as a Pastebin client, you simply tell it a file or to read from the stdin and it will paste the information on a Pastebin. Example : echo “hi” | pastebinit - or : pastebinit /var/log/syslog You can also specify another Pastebin (*.pastebin.com, pastebin.ca and paste.stgraber.org are supported, paste.stgraber.org is the default one) Example : echo “h1″ | pastebinit - http://ubuntu.pastebin.com or : pastebinit /var/log/syslog http://ubuntu.pastebin.com
