Cut 3.1 was changed due to internal race condition to cut 3.2.  Cut 3.1 was
supplied as both engineering samples and production.  The production parts
were screened using a sophisticated industrial test put in place in June
2006.  The device with the markings you gave me may or may not have been
screened by this test.  This can be ascertained through the trace codes
given at the time of shipment but unfortunately the marking on the chip is
not sufficient in itself.  To avoid any ambiguity at all I suggested using
cut 3.2 devices.

Clearly, KNC1 have migrated far from ST's standard reference design (new
power supply regime, new tuner, PCI bridge interface).  I am not sure how
much we can help you.

If you can activate the I2C interface, install the PC GUI and allow
connection to the PC controlling this GUI via VNC we can help remotely.  If
not, either you come to us or we come to you - no alternative.
