Problem with colored prompt (PS1) at rxvt-unicode

I'm using urxvt and I haven't colored prompt. PS1 write out '\u@\h \w \$ '. I think, that /etc/bash/bashrc is sorting rxvt-unicode to non safe terminals. Problem is at line:

safe_term=${TERM//[^[:alnum:]]/.}   # sanitize TERM

This line have deleted dot from $TERM value. So urxvt is classed to color nonsupporting, and it is problem.
