3. download newest kernel, same that was reinstalled
	cd /usr/src
	wget http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/linux-2.6.8.tar.gz
4. unzip it, create a symbolic link and move to the directory
	tar -zxvf linux-2.6.8.tar.gz
	ln -s linux-2.6.8 /usr/src/linux
	cd linux
5. configure the kernel for recompilation
	make menuconfig
	--find Generic HDLC set as module
	--set Synchronous Point-to-Point to YES (*)
	.config
		CONFIG_HDLC=m
		CONFIG_HDLC_PPP=y

6. exit and save, now compile the kernal
	make clean
	make modules
	make modules_install
	make bzImage
