I am using Plone 2.1 and Zope Zope 2.8.4-final, python 2.3.5, Zwiki 0.46.0 I tried changing the workflow of my zwiki so it would email me whenever anyone edited a page but I am now having any luck. I know you can configure "mail-in" and "mail-out" in zwiki (which I am not having any luck with either. The subscribe button won't appear on my zwiki and I am out of ideas as to why. I've uninstalled and reinstalled zwiki, deleted and remade the mail_replyto property, deleted and remade the MailHost object...people can get their passwords emailed to them when they sign up so I know MailHost is configured properly) but I want to learn how to use workflows and this seems like the simplest task to get me started. I used the instructions from TDGTP as a template and edited the workflow TTW. I created a workflow called email_on_edit and assigned it to wiki page in portal_workflow. In the contents tab I created a workflow called email_on_edit. In /portal_workflow/email_on_edit/ I created a transition called "edit" and put a script on it called mail.py which should email me the change. Then I edited Products/CMFPlone/skins/plone_form_scripts/document_edit.cpy and added: context.portal_workflow.doActionfor(new_context,'edit',comment='') to the second to last line. Nothing new or unusual happens when I edit a document. It is like I didn't change anything. I expected at least an error. It seems perhaps that is not used for editing zwiki documents. So I went looking some more and found Products/ZWiki/Editing.py and added the above line to line 376 in handleEditText right before # send mail if appropriate and deleted the Editing.pyc file and even restarted zope. But still nothing happens, not even an error. Normally I don't edit the actual Product code itself and instead override it in my skin Product but I am not confident that I know how to override a python method. I actually tried that first when I got no effect so resorted to editing Product code. So nothing happens when I edit a document, zwiki or otherwise. Am I missing something?
