It is recommended that setting_foo be somewhere between bar and baz.
httpdconf
If possible, move settings from .htaccess to httpdconf for better performance.
Security
Directory/file permissions
All Drupal file and directory permissions should be 0644, with the exception of the files directory which should be 0777.
PHP
User
PHP should run as a different user than Apache.
