[10:18] hello [10:19] anyone one home? [10:21] * Mark_Halverson has quit IRC (Client Quit) [10:34] yes i'm sure there are [10:35] yay [10:35] I've been looking around and haven't found much regarding the scalability and stability of gnudialer [10:36] I read ony place that said it was unstable, but other poeple rave about it. [10:36] s/ony/one/ [10:38] I'm currently looking into replacing several different name brand perdictive dialers with something open source. [10:39] well it's an open source project, not a payfor commercial product, and it's based on another open source project.. so stable is not a word you should use [10:39] it is as stable as you make it [10:39] From what I've read, VICIdial isn't perdictive, so this is all I've got to go on [10:39] just like any other open source project in the WORLD [10:40] i'm not gonna sit here and compare gnudialer to vicidial, try them both and make up your own mind [10:40] (i have other things to do) [10:40] I understand that. I guess "Is it stable" should have been replaced with, "how well does it run" [10:41] * galen {sigh} [10:41] i think it runs very well, in 'certain setups' it segs everyone once and a while, but we are tracking that down (like i said this is one app on top of another on top of another... sometimes it's hard to code for a billion possible combos [10:42] hell, asterisk can seg from day to day [10:42] I've just begun looking into asterisk, thats good to know [10:43] Thank you [10:43] i've got a dev box here, i can't make it seg at all [10:43] I'll be making a dev box soon enough [10:43] that would be the place to start [10:44] learn basic linux admin, learn asterisk, learn mysql... then come back [10:54] ...errr I should spout off a witty comment regarding zealots, but today isn't a day to start a fight. Another time, my good sir. [10:54] * galen has left #gnudialer
