[18:14:08] hi, what database tables are checked when a user is logged in? (Aparantly it's not only phpbb_users) [18:14:32] lmao [18:14:37] whoops [18:14:58] Thatbitextra: phpbb_users primarily [18:15:12] That was @ Thumann [18:15:16] yeah well [18:16:04] i was using the phpbb installation customized to it would integrate with joomla (the cms) so they shared the user database.. i used a phpbb v. 2.0.10 and i'm now moving the phpbb to a native phpbb installation [18:16:07] i've moved everything [18:16:16] and checked that the database tables are 'identical' [18:16:21] how ever.. i can see all my users.. [18:16:24] all the posts etc.. [18:16:33] see the users in the members list and in the various user groups [18:16:37] but none of them can login :/ [18:16:40] * deejayalive has left #phpbb ("Oh my God, you killed Kenny!") [18:16:44] i can register a new user, and he can login [18:16:55] all the ~500 old users can't [18:17:01] even though i md5 change the password [18:17:22] I was about to ask... [18:17:29] Are you sure the password is md5 hashed? [18:17:35] aye [18:18:01] And the error users get when trying to login is... [18:18:29] "You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password" [18:18:42] and i make the new registered user an admin by changing the user level manually [18:18:49] and go into user administration [18:19:01] and click on the find user button, i can by '*' see all of them [18:19:06] i then click select on one of them [18:19:12] and then,.. well.. same error [18:19:14] user doesn't exist [18:19:17] >.< [18:19:17] * Mungo has joined #phpbb [18:19:29] even though i can see them in the memberlist and in all the old posts [18:20:03] Is user_active set to 1 for the users? [18:20:08] aye, all of them [18:20:37] could this be cookie related? [18:20:42] no [18:20:48] then the admin part would still work [18:21:58] No, it can't be a cookie issues [18:22:07] Is the code in login.php from the native phpBB? [18:22:12] yes [18:22:23] what was changed in the joomla port [18:22:26] In that case, one of the things you have told me in incorrect :) [18:22:31] was like.. user_id was id [18:22:47] I would have to see it to tell you anything... [18:23:06] can i pm you login info? it's a test installation anyways [18:23:09] so no harm done [18:23:11] How large is the database? [18:23:19] Ah, that's even better [18:23:33] Well the login info isn't going to tell me anything [18:23:35] well.. i've just moved the users and groups this time.. so not that big.. but other than that.. 46megs if i recall [18:23:39] I imagine I'll get the same error [18:23:46] i mean login info to the sql db [18:23:50] phpmyadmin [18:23:58] Sure, that will work [18:24:03] hang on [18:24:08] I'll be home in 2.5 hours and can take a look then [18:24:11] ahh [18:24:14] deal [18:24:17] :) [18:25:41] i figured it would be easies to go from the modified old version to a native old version, and then upgrade to newest [18:25:50] *easiest [18:26:14] * naderman has joined #phpbb [18:26:15] * ChanServ sets mode: +o naderman [18:28:07] btw.. are the phpbb_search_wordlist needed? since they take up say.. more than half my database space [18:28:17] from what i can see they're like indexes right? [18:28:36] yes [18:28:45] If you don;t care to have the search function work you can safely empty it i believe [18:28:45] The search tables can be rebuilt at any time [18:29:14] rebuilding it is [18:29:23] import time reduced by 200 hours [18:30:36] * Alley^Away has left #phpbb ("thx for 0") [18:34:39] 200 O_O [18:35:06] What are you restoring, Google? [18:35:34] email be a copy of Google plz [18:35:45] yeah, google cache board [18:35:50] you haven't been there? [18:35:51] :D [18:36:42] nah. it's around 450.000 queries for a complete insert (no bulk inserts) [18:36:46] which takes time! :D
