[03:48am] johnnowak: there is a middle ground between persistence and nothing.. some form of object serialization
[03:48am] johnnowak: so you can write code incrementally and then write the objects to disk in a human-readable form
[03:50am] johnnowak: i could create a new class (or whatever), add methods, test them, fix bugs, and all that in the interpreter... and when done, just serialize that object and get human-readable source code, properly formatted and all that.. perhaps just a bit of tidying up and comments to be added by the programmer afterwards
