devilhorns: try this 1. cvs update e building now 2. http://www.rasterman.com/files/Custom-Background-etc..tar.gz get it untar open in fm2 scroll around once i'm done... you should almost be able to build entire user interfaces just with directories and fm2 wow 1. u can have a custom .edj for the bg 2 a custom .edj for an "overlay" i have fixme's for making the scrollframe widget stuff also able to be custom per dir (just put a magic file in) i will also make the theme widgets used for icons their selection etc. etc. also bto be custom gack...caught me mid-code...hehe, have to comment some stuff I was working on so basically any dir can have a whole custom UI since u can do a custom overlay scrollframe, wallpaper and custom icon widgets its edje so ui can build buttons, ui elements etc. all i need to do is add code ti listen to signals from the edjes and if the edjes send sicgnals like "e.fm.close" "e.fm.exec" oh damn that's sexy "e.fm.opendir" etc. u could build things like mini audio players just by execcing mpg123 or ogg123 etc. etc. a dir with a few scripts some data files etc. and bingo an app :) have to be careful security cant have it do dangerous things without an OK from the user w0000w !!! :) I love the way that the overlay affects the selector :) its just meant to look like several layers of cloud/fog with files scrolling thru are u using default? indeed (theme) well, I had to switch to default, yea i made the selection bg of items in list mode mostly trans cool current theme (mine) doesn't have support for it :) make the window big but still scrollable * rudeboy__ has quit (Connection timed out) and note all the cloud layers 1 on top 2 layers under the files and the bg texture also scrolls thats an example of what peopler WILL be able to do in future OMG wood as they are edjes - they can aniate like any wallpaper etc. etc. u could make a bg and overlay that looks like plants in the jungle fog and cliuds clouds maybe rows of buildings in a city or wires and stuff basically anything u like * devilhorns starts drooling bgs dont have to scroll can be still the idea is - in the distant future we can distribute apps as just tarball dirs u download - unpack and the whole app installer and experience is a dir like that wOw i'm contemplating allowing the dir to also use a custom border but just imagine when u can freeplace icons turn off the icon labels so now its just a bunch of images in a dir u can scroll around with custom overlays, backtgrounds other edje widgets etc. u can make a nice installer front end for an app just as a dir + scripts * emil|k`work (n=emil@pD950FDD7.dip0.t-ipconnect.de) has joined #e * Chris_abyi has quit (Read error: 110 (Connection timed out)) THIS is why i wanted to spend time on fm2 and wanted it for e17 my lord * Chris_abyi (n=info@p54A8B29D.dip0.t-ipconnect.de) has joined #e that's some ubber kewl stuff :) hmm, how to make all e_fm use it... what u see is only a small toe in the waters of a "nice fm" for e man...that's some super kewl sexy right there :) thats only the beginning ... * devilhorns spends the day just scrolling e_fm :) MUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH the next step is a custom scrollframe so u can have a custom scrolbar and whatever design surrounding the file list just cannot get over the "layered scroll" approach....pretty near gives me wood :) much like web pages can use CSS to customise scrollbars on some browsers right that on iuts own will let u put fancy surroundings on the file regions it's a questiopn of time... ahh yes...the one thing we never have enough of :) anyway Is it ok that i can't set some jpeg's as wallpaper.
