I would like to participate in the TERP program because I have a general interest in mathematics and science and a strong interest in technology. During the past years I have developed my skills in the areas and I enjoy the process of problem solving, which I believe is an important aspect in engineering.
I have participated in Accelerated science and mathematics courses when I was in middle school since they were offered for the first year in 2004 and I am currently enrolled in Honors courses for the two subjects. I have taken part in mathematics competitions organized by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust and I have earned a Gold certificate both times.
