/usr/share/xmltv/tv_grab_uk_rt/channel_ids This file maps Radio Times channel ids to XMLTV style. Should list all the channels on the RT site? This file is the basis for everything? Where do you get this from? xmlid = web style address RT channel reference Decription Example rows: south.bbc1.bbc.co.uk:102:BBC ONE South south-west.bbc1.bbc.co.uk:103:BBC ONE South West wales.bbc1.bbc.co.uk:100:BBC ONE Wales west.bbc1.bbc.co.uk:104:BBC ONE West east.bbc2.bbc.co.uk:106:BBC TWO East /home/mythtv/.mythtv/{input source}.xmltv List the channels that you actaully want to grab to the db channel xmlid from the above /usr/share/xmltv/tv_grab_uk_rt/channel_ids channel north-west.bbc1.bbc.co.uk channel channel4.com channel channel5.co.uk channel itv2.itv.co.uk channel itv3.itv.co.uk channel e4.channel4.com channel plus-1.e4.channel4.com The data file from the RT site. Lists the RT id, and the name. Example rows: 34|Grampian 35|ITV1 Wales 36|ITV1 West 37|Scottish 38|Ulster 39|Animal Planet 40|Artsworld 43|B4U Movies So, I'm guessing the grabber gets the RT site channels.dat file, and compares it to the tv_grab_uk_rt/channels.id file to make sure it knows what you're talking about, and then grabs the channels that are in the /home/ channels_id file and puts those listings in the db? So channels not in the /home/ channels_id get ingonred, and no data comes down from the RT site? Questions: Where dos the db get it's descriptions from for channels? Where do the channel numbers come from? The initial channel scan, if I remember right? And in the db, there is a table linking the channel no, to the rt name like itv2.itv.co.uk so the listings get connected to the right channel?
