I am emailing you regarding a question I have about my proposal. I have cut the scope of my proposal down following your advice on my first draft. Below is my cut down research questions, aims and objectives. My question is wether the scope is still a little bit to ambitious? as I am unsure if I have cut them down to much or not enough.

I also have a question regarding further work. Does the university have any MPhil or PhD positions that would allow me to possibly continue my research in this topic area? If so how could I find out about doing a PhD or MPhil at the university?

Aims & Objectives

To demonstrate the need for a cross language user interface model.
To show a possible model in which to represent a user interfaces in UML
How this model can be used to create a user interfaces in any language.

Expected Outcomes / deliverables

A proposed notation in which to model User Interfaces in UML.
A prototype tool / example of how the models created can be transformed.

Research Questions

Can the Unified Modelling Language (UML) be extended to allow modelling of platform independent user interfaces?

Is it possible to produce a tool that supports the proposed model and allows software developers to easily produce user interfaces from the defined model?
