Lydia Maumenee amazes me every time I speak with her.  I grew up in a musical family - my grandmother has tought piano in her home for 40 years, my uncle plays professionally, and I am of intermediate skill on the piano - so I can talk music with people of equal knowledge of theory.  Lydia has had no formal training in her musical career except for drum lessons when she was very young, yet she displays a dynamic and diverse knowledge of musical theory, has the ear of a professional, and displays all of the signs of a musical prodigy.  It has been my experience that those who show extreme interest and dedication in music will thrive in the traditional learning environment such as Full Sail.
