I'm trying to configure Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) with Beryl. I have an nVidia 7900 GS AGP card and have it running properly with the nVidia drivers and such. I can set Beryl up to function properly with a single display. However, I'm trying to configure dual-display mode with two CRT monitors. I currently have dual-display mode working WITHOUT Beryl (using default GNOME window manager) set up as two separate X desktops. If I activate Beryl, it functions perfectly on Screen0 (primary screen) -- program title bars are there, animations work, desktop cube selector works, etc. -- but on Screen1 (secondary screen) I get no title bars on windows, and I am unable to click anything (such as the Applications menu, or any programs that I had started up before activating Beryl). If I de-activate Beryl and switch back to the default GNOME manager, I regain titlebars and interactivity on the second display. Functionality on the primary display is never affected. One note: if I change from two-desktop mode to TwinView (single desktop spanned over both displays) then Beryl works properly on both displays (title bars, etc.), but this setup is not practical with the kind of physical orientation I have for monitors. Is there a way for me to set up Beryl to operate as two separate desktops on two separate monitors (either each with their own cube selector or each representing a different face of the same cube) and to have title bars and other normal functionality working on both?
