Building a House Every day I wake up, Starting from preschool to this present day, I feel like I am building my own house. With every new day, I add something new, I take things away, I add knowledge, wisdom, success, I take away immaturity, irresponsibility. At my eighth grade Graduation, The final touches to my house will be complete, The paint on my house will polish me, The windows will open to help me see new opportunities, A door that will shut itself when I'm going the wrong way, A roof will hold my ideas and memories, A chimney to allow me to let steam off, A staircase to create challenges in life, A bed to sleep in, A pillow to cry on. With every new touch I gain something new, Whether it is happiness, sadness, or both, Each of these trims will open opportunities for my future, A future that will be like no other, A future that will be mine.
