Xsecrets: Just make sure you run the backup first.
Xsecrets: That saves most of the important stuff unless you have done lots of tweaking
hfb: Depends what you mean by Tweaking?  I've done things like increase the quality of the default recordings.
Xsecrets: that will get saved.
Xsecrets: anything in myth will get saved.
hfb: Which I assume is covered under the backup.
hfb: That's what I figured.  I will have to give it a try.
Xsecrets: also things in /home/mythtv/.mythtv get saved and some stuff in etc. Make sure to get a backup of your XF86Config-4 file if you have changed it.
Xsecrets: just copy it to /myth/backup

hfb: I have to look a little more closely at mythweb.  I'm not sure if I like some of the changes.
Xsecrets: there is a thread on the forum about things to be ware of in order to have a smooth upgrade.
