i have a script that cheks imdb for a movies rating / votes (among other things, but the votes an rating are whats confusing me)... once all info is retrieved, socket is closed an the retrieved info is parsed... 

going thru the general error chekking ive added the following lines in the script..

      echo -a %votes - %allowed.v
      echo -a %rating - %allowed.r

Found all four variables are set.... returning results.. 

10911 - 500
2.1 - 5.0

comparing the variables are the following if lines...

      if (%votes < %allowed.v) { stuff here }
      if (%rating < %allowed.r) { stuff here }

Now... in the variable result i pasted, the if line for comparing rating does what its told to do....
however if the results are opposite, meaning, if %votes returns lower than 500 and %rating returns
higher than 5.0, the if line for votes doesnt seem to trigger an perform properly as the rating if
line does...

Any Help would be appreciated
