Channel op commands Only ops and people inspiring to be an op should care about these commands. v = Gives Voice to the user (May talk if channel mode is +m) h = Gives HalfOp status to the user o = Gives Operator status to the user a = Gives Channel Admin to the user (Can set some special modes and can not be kicked by a normal op) q = Gives Owner status to the user /Mode #Channel +# Name Gives the desired status to a person. (Replace the +# with any letter from the list for it to take effect (+v for example) /Mode #Channel -# Name Same as above except it removes the desired status from the person. /Mode #Channel +m Sets it to moderated chat. Only Voiced (+v) HalfOps (+h) and Ops (+o) may talk. /Mode #Channel –m Unsets moderated chat, Allows everyone to talk. /Mode #Channel +i No one may enter the channel unless invited by an op /Mode #Channel –i Any one may enter the channel, even if they weren’t invited /invite name #Channel Invites the person into the channel. Must use if the channel is set to +i /invite Botname #Channel Replace Botname with the bot you would like in your channel (lalala, zoi, paws) /topic #Channel Blah Changes the topic. In this case the topic would be Blah. /cs Help It’s very similar to /ns help except it has to do with channels. Banning Banning someone was a very confusing thing for me at the beginning. Anything I read made no sense to me at all. So I decided banning deserved its own section =) mIRC users can easily ban and unban. To ban simply left click on there name. Go to the menu labeled control and go to ban kick. Now that unlucky soul that you banned won’t be bothering you much anymore. When you feel they have suffered enough, Simply left click in the channel window. Click channel modes and select bans. Click on their ban and then click unban. Remember this is only for mIRC users only. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. For you SwiftShift users out there you have a much tougher time banning and unbaning. To ban you can do basically the same thing as mIRC users OR you could do it the fun way (well at least I think its fun) type /whois name. You should get some mostly useless stuff. Your first line should look like this name is ~name@Swift-12AE6BD1.hsd1.nj.comcast.net * Unknown (its mine switched around slightly) All you need to care about is everything after the @ so in this case it would be @Swift-12AE6BD1.hsd1.nj.comcast.net In order to ban this person type, /mode #channel +b *!*@Swift-12AE6BD1.hsd1.nj.comcast.net And whala, the person has been banned and they shouldn’t be able to switch there name to get back into your channel. Again, with anything else, if you are having trouble please PM me. Registering a Channel If you would like to create your own channel this is how to do so. I would like to ask that if your friend or friends made a channel then don’t make your own and just join theirs. We don’t need twenty channels that no one uses. ./cs register #channel password description Registers your channel. ./bs assign #channel X Gets X the channel bot in the channel. ./bs kick #Channel flood on X will kick people who are spaming your channel. Only the channel founder can set this. ./bs say #Channel text The channel bot (X) will say what you want it to. ./bs act #Channel text Allows the Channel bot (X) to do /me ./bs help More commands for the bot. (too many to go over) You use it the same as the other help commands. Setting Auto OP As the title says, this is where you can find out how to set auto ops for your channel. -2 or below: The user will be automatically banned from the channel. -1 or below: The user will not be allowed to have op status. 3: The user will automatically receive voice (+v) when they join the channel 4: The user will automatically receive halfop (+h) when they join the channel (aka auto half op) 5: The user will automatically receive op (+o) when they join the channel (Aka auto op). 10: The user will automatically receive Admin op (+ao) when they join the channel (can only be set by channel founders) /cs access #Channel add nickname # Channel admins(+a) and founders can use this to set auto ops. Remote commands I didn’t know what else to call these commands so I called them remote commands. You can type these commands anywhere and have them take effect (as long as you have access to the channel you are trying to use it on) Op- Ops the person Deop-Takes the persons op away Hlafop-Halfops the person Dehalfop-Takes the persons half op away Ban- Bans the person Unban- Unbans yourself (helpful if you somehow managed to ban yourself) Voice-Gives voice to the person Devoice-Takes away voice from the person Kick-Kicks the person /cs Command #Channel Personsname Pretty colors =D Ever wanted to type with pink text highlighted with black?
