Accessing failsafe mode

set wired LAN TCP/IP properties on laptop to static IP (192.168.1.3), Subnet mask (255.255.255.0)
	no default gateway, no DNS specified
connect laptop to router with ethernet cable via router's WAN port
plug in router
wait until red "DIAG" LED switches from dim to bright, and then hold the reset button 
	until the DIAG LED flashes rapidly
Open putty in laptop and Telnet to 192.168.1.1
Connected!
