The year, it didn't matter. Nothing mattered anymore. Here I am in this... world. This now unhabitable world but somehow I live. The sky is blotched with a crimson dark red stain. None of the sky is to be seen. The sun hangs behind those dark clouds, eluminating them, causing a bright red around them. This is all I can see while I lay here on this dust ridden ground. I look down and I see the ground. It is a dark black with particles of concrete. I see a few chunks of glass laying by a piece of concrete with a netting inside. It lays on the ground like it is dead. So peacefull. So still. I then notice my ears and what they hear. I cannot hear anything except a soft ringing mixed with the white noise of nothingness. But why don't I hear anything? Why is the sky so dark, with a blotch of bright red hanging in the sky? Why is there chunks of debris and the ground which I reside stained a pitch black? I try to think, but somehow I can't. A sharp pain tingles from my head all the way down to my toes. I try to sit up but it pains me. Where am I? What has happened to this once lively city where the sound of cars' horns blaring would never not find it's way to your ears? I sit up now. I blink my eyes to unblur my sight. And then I saw it. That once lively city. And what is it now? I see only parts of buildings now with the sun shining through their shattered windows eluminating the dusty air. Only parts of those once huge skyscrapers stand now. Everything lays clattered, so at peace just like the chunk of concrete beside me. The once boat filled harbor lays dry, full of dust like all other land. The wholest of buildings blow smoke in the air, to join the rest of the dark black clouds. The once thriving yaughts that lay in the harbor lay lifeless. They are covered with the same gray dust and their windows are blown out. The large gates at the now empty city hall rest strangely open as though it is willing for any soul who still stands amidst the dust to make home in it's interior. Nothing matters anymore. Not even the cause of this damage. For what has happened cannot be undone. And if so is true, this dust filled world is clearly our future.
