it amuses me to see peoples varying reactions to steorns claim.but the truth if very simple if u just look at it from a few and logical points of view. first imagine your self in steorn possition. imagine that u have a device which for all practical purposes violatessome of the fundamental laws of physics. now since the device is doing such a thing, in all honesty how do you get people to belive you. most people would just say oh have some reporter come with a camera and film the thing, or somthing along thos basic lines. now first off ud have to find someone willing to come and look at the thing in the first place, because remember this isnt somthing that man thought we might one day (in the far future) be able to do, no this is something that should be fundamentaly and absolutly forbidden ( acording to the laws of physics) so how do you convice people that u have somthing that for all practical purposes is impossible to create? obviusly you cant, or it is very difficult as we ve obviusly seen with steorn. theyv approched hundreds of universatiys and only 8 were willing to come and look. now secondly you have to realize that steorn is a comercial enterprise as well, if you have some pimply ameture news reporter come and film the thing well then every one could see thew thing copy it and in essance steorn would get screwed, people would belive them that they have it but would be able to make much money considering that its still patent pending and people would just copy what they saw in the report. so that doesnt leave you with many options, and obviusly steorn had pretty much exausted all their options before going ahead with the pr "stunt" in the economist. which now from a realistic point of view makes perfect sence, and in reality will help them get this tech out and accepted by the world a lot faster then by going the normal way of peer review. now some people might call this a selfish or self importante move on stoerns part trying to make a quick buck. but thats not quite fair to steorn and on the contrary (please keep in mind all my coments are from what iv personaly derived from all that iv seen) for if u have a technology like this your gona wanna get it out as fast as possible, not to make money but so much as to change the world and make it a better place. i dont think people realize the importance of this discovery. it will completly end mans energy problems FOREVER. and that brings me to the seconde and probably more important issue people are haveing over the whole steorn thing, dose the bloody thing work or not. i obviusly cannot say for sure because i dont know, for sure. but lets think about it "logicaly" again. first off i think it would be safe to say that NO law of physics is absolutly certine or correct for every single aspect of the universe. and keep in mind the "laws" are simply what man "thinks" is correct about the universe based on observation and experimenting. but just because one thinks somthing dosnt mean that it is. i like to think of it this way nothing in the universe is perfect and i mean absolutly nothing. so just because we have observed a certine effect for the vast majoraty of things (like the law of conservation of energy for EX) dosnt mean that it will be like that for EVERYTHING. there is always a way to go around things to bypass certine problems. just because we dont know how dosnt mean its not possible. now for all the poeple who think steorn is a hoax or somthing along thos lines, just think for a moment, if steorn didnt have what they say they do, why are they doing what they are. if they dont have it then all the public awarness and stuff that theyv created will hurt and damage the companys ( and its employees) reputation permanently. and what reason do they have for this being a hoax if there not makeing any money off it right now, in fact all of steorn has made a net profit of minus several thousands of euros on the orbo, in r&d, the economist add and such. and there not guna recover that money untill AFTER the tech is validated. people need to take these things into consideration before makeing up there mind about steorn. cuz if they do have what they say,and nobody wants to belive them, then reasonably you can expect them to do something rather desparate or unconventional. which is what we ve seen with the economist add. and they wouldnt want to disclose to much information to keep people from stealing the discoverys and taking credit for it. when you sum all of the factors together, i think the evidence is far more, how shall i say "conclusive" that steorn dose have what they say, then them just making a big hoax or scandal. so i for one salute steorn, a company of bright intelligent people who knew what they had and wont let anything stand in there way. and special salut to mr sean mccarthy who i think has put up with more sh*t and ridicule then someone should resonably be asked to put up with. so please steorn lead us into the 21st century with hope on the horizon and help bring the energy revolution to a reality.
