my modem is hanging up but i can't find anything in my log files to tell why sometimes it will stay connected for 3 hours but more often than not far less, tonight for example it disconnected after a few mins. [quozl]: find the modem init string being used by your windows system and use it in linux, typically this would go into /etc/chatscripts/ file for the connection. May 28 23:06:04 netrek pppd[9059]: Modem hangup May 28 23:06:04 netrek pppd[9059]: Connect time 2.6 minutes [quozl]: most likely cause is settings wrong in the modem. i have included some info on my setup and in particular do you see anything wrong with any of the pppd rcvd/sent messages? (LCP etc..) [quozl]: yes, there is a rejection of CCP by the peer, so add noccp to pppd options in /etc/ppp/peers.
