For those coming into this story in the middle, permit to explain. A little over a week ago, Emma brought a complaint to Sarah regarding rather direct harassment via an IRC PM by a member of the cabinet. Sarah asked me, as IDir and aaPrez as of just about that time, to look into the matter. Specifically, the harassment in question involoved one Brady McGuinn, FComm-4. Those with a sharp memory will remember that at just about that time, Brady posted in Command that his computer had been hacked. Upon further investigation, I was able to determine the exact timeline of events on the night in question, and that the individual using Brady's computer to speak to Emma was not, in fact, Brady. It was whoever had hacked his computer. I have today received written confirmation from legal authorities as to the validity of the invasion, which I was waiting on before making a formal statement on the matter. As a result, I find Brady blameless in the incident in question. As there is an on-going criminal investigation into the unauthorized entry into Brady's computer, I do not believe it would be prudent for me to say anything further on the matter at this time. However, the STF administration does intend to cooperate with the appropriate legal authorities should they so request. In the unlikely event that other STF members are asked about the incident, we ask that they cooperate fully as well. --Internet Director Larry Garfield
