GOAL: Install Cdk.pm for use with personal perl install at /home/frankg/myperl
I'm using a personal copy of perl to avoid messing up my RPM based system.

PROBLEM: I'm confused about step #2 under compiling procedure in the Cdk.pm README doc here:
