Subject: Maybe you should open source your website. I was looking at graduate jobs and I thought I'd apply to one or two. So, of course, I have a read through one of the job descriptions and click the apply button. What am I greeted with but a dialogue box saying that I need a browser that supports secure connections? Well, pardon me, but I was under the impression that Mozilla Firefox was one of the most standards-compliant browsers around; and that Ubuntu Linux was one of the most standards-compliant operating systems around. Are you telling me that this combination doesn't support simple https? Or are you just not using the https standard? Or, of course, does your website simply not provide for Firefox in any capacity? For a global corporation, I'd expect a little better than this. What is more, trying to leave feedback results in a 404 for the submission page. And really, JSP? Way to keep it simple. I wouldn't be surprised if you're running it on Windows servers as well. Security assured! I don't think I'll be applying to Siemens ever again, but hey, at least now you know that your website has, shall we say, some problems.
