Here's my question, I'm still new to bacula and I have doubts... - I backup to files. - I want one file per week day. - I want a full backup the first day of the week (whatever might this be) and all following backups of the week incremental. It's now been a while I have my my first jobs running and it seems I got this working - Bacula creates a new file per day and recycle them. +---------+-----------------------+-----------+---------+---------+-----------+---------------------+ | MediaId | VolumeName | VolStatus | Enabled | Recycle | MediaType | LastWritten | +---------+-----------------------+-----------+---------+---------+-----------+---------------------+ | 3 | Volume-servicos1-0001 | Used | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-07 04:01:12 | | 6 | Volume-servicos1-0002 | Append | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-08 04:01:17 | | 10 | Volume-servicos1-0003 | Used | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-02 04:01:11 | | 14 | Volume-servicos1-0004 | Used | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-03 04:01:12 | | 17 | Volume-servicos1-0005 | Used | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-04 04:01:11 | | 19 | Volume-servicos1-0006 | Used | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-05 04:01:11 | | 22 | Volume-servicos1-0007 | Used | 1 | 1 | File | 2007-06-06 04:01:22 | +---------+-----------------------+-----------+---------+---------+-----------+---------------------+ To acheive this I did the following in the director configuration: Client Section: File Retention = 6 days Job Retention = 6 days Pool Section: Volume Retention = 6 days Volume Use Duration = 23h My issue is... I can't find the last full backup anymore, maybe the volume was recycled ? Then, if it was, why didn't bacula do a Full backup again ? How may I set this up the way I want ? Thank you.
