[00:54] hi [00:54] * hsgdfreog is now known as daniela-- [00:55] I have grought an archive of an application home from work [00:55] *brought [00:56] i unarchived it, created a virtual directory for it and ran it [00:56] when i run with F5 I get this: [00:56] Unable to start debugging on the server. Server does not support debugging of ASP.NET or ATL applications [00:56] you need to like have a debugger setup on the server [00:57] when i run with Ctrl F5 I see in the address bar: http://localhost/Appname/default.aspx [00:57] and i get a 404 code error [00:57] all the other solutions that i have on this computer work [00:57] i have other solutions from work, they work too [00:57] even those that i create now run normally [00:57] only this one won't [00:58] most pages I;ve seen suggest that there is an installation problem [00:58] an unfinishes installation or some wrong order indstallation [00:58] but I haven't installed anyting lately [00:59] and everything else works [00:59] old or new solutions [00:59] just this one won;t [00:59] and what i've noticed: [00:59] all other solutions start with http://localhost:PORT/Appname/somepage.aspx [01:00] this one that won't work doesn't have any port number in the address bar' [01:00] does this help? [01:00] djgk, i assume the debugger is correctly setup if all other applications work [01:01] with and without the debugger, they run [01:03] ou would get this error if the application mappings for ASP.NET file name extensions (such as .aspx) are not configured correctly in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). [01:04] also i checked this and it's ok, the mapping exists between .aspx and that dll [01:04] which i didn't even need to check, because other applications work [01:08] also in configuration section, both server and client side debugging are enabled
