While i do eschew elitism, I find your actual exclamations a bit disturbing. The fact that you "admit" that the media "gave you" your ideas denies the fact that you, yourself, chose to consume that media, and also evaluated that media for its ability to produce accurate opinions. Essentially, your opinions are yours, and only by coincidence does "the media", whatever that means, hold them, as well. :)
