ello Kristian The code I compiled on my machine is still the old beryl code 2.0 so I probablyneed to get the new one at some point when the zoom is stable enough for my daily use. I read some of the forums and glanced at some of the old code. I still have the question though of what the best debug setup would be or would be sugested. Id like to keep the zoom working in the debugging session. whats the best debug setup in order to be able to keep one window manager in zoom mode for debugging and a second window manager beeing debugged. harware config, do I need a second video card? or monitor or machine? distro software config? to compile from scratch is ubuntu better? thought id ask the question in order to get a second opinion. even if I arrive at a solution I thought it would be better to get a second opinion. I think I could possibly run two window managers on the same card but Im afraid of inteference, maybe could run the second wm (comp merge) on top of xgl or the other AIGLX for a second debug session. thought Id ask an opinion. I dont know if anyone has attempted to run one wm and debug another. dont know if I need a second video card or monitor. it would be helpfull to have an opinion or sugestion. the problem beeing haveing a zoomed desktop while debuggind another. sugestions for good setups from experience would be most usefull. can I get away with runnning two wms in one video card or is this a bad idea. I have a nvidia en7900gtx. than you for your help and sugestions in advance. have not had a lot of time to dedicate to the thought of what the best setup for debug might be yet. looked some at the forum and blog. Also need to be sure where to get the new code if its not too unstable and is good enough to work and debug. would be nice to use or exange some of my video interface experiences also to see what can be reused or makes sence especially since there is a certain amount of evolution going on. most people use few guis so its nice to learn from other os and other people besides ms.
